I am a senior undergraduate student currently working towards my BS in Environmental Science and Resource Management (ESRM). I have been involved with the Butman lab since the spring of 2017, and I am working on two main projects. One long term project is about under-ice greenhouse gas dynamics and the other is on aquatic carbon cycling in Alaska’s Yukon Flats. These projects center around seeking factors for why certain greenhouse gases build up and where in the landscape one could predict their abundance. Since the Summer of 2019 I have been working on an urban stream field campaign to track carbon through the Taylor Creek watershed before an upcoming 2021 restoration effort. Outside of the lab I enjoy playing rugby and seeking out the best nachos in all of Seattle.
